Villa Dianthus
Sveti Lovrec nestles in the immediate hinterland of Vrsar and Porec. It is one of the best preserved medieval fortified towns in Istria. The town was named after the small church St. Lawrence built in the 8th century.
Many kinds of Dianthus-carnations are widespread throughout the world, but one, called Croatian Carnation or Croatian Clove is endemic, and is growing at a mountainous grasslands.
